Study at Mid Sweden University
Mid Sweden University offers a wide range of courses and programmes.
International students are welcome to apply to our international programmes taught in English. We also offer all exchange students, who are connected to one of Mid Sweden University’s partner universities, a wide range of single courses taught in English—both at the Bachelor´s and Master´s level.
Undergraduate studies – the first level
The first level is equivalent to the undergraduate level. Mid Sweden University offers international applicants a number of international Bachelor programmes taught in English. Read more about these programmes here.
First level single courses taught in English are also offered to exchange students connected to one of Mid Sweden University’s partner universities. Please note that if you are not currently studying at one of our partner universities, then you are not able to apply for single courses taught in English.
Master’s studies – the second level
The second level is the advanced level and it is equivalent to the Master’s level. Mid Sweden University offers international students a variety of two-year Master’s programmes.
As an exchange student, you can also apply for single courses at the Master’s level or the one-year Master’s programme.
Doctoral studies – The third level
The third level is equivalent to postgraduate studies. Postgraduate programmes conclude with the award of a Licentiate Degree or a PhD. The PhD is the most advanced academic qualification awarded in Sweden, and it is awarded after four years of postgraduate studies (240 credits). A Licentiate Degree is awarded after two years of full-time study (120 credits).
