Aim
Further develop parts of the scientific project started in the course Scientific Project I, as well as to broaden the research experience in biology by participating in other ongoing research project in biology.
Course objectives
After completing the course, the student shall be able to:
- explain and use a theoretical or experimental main method central to the scientific project,
- analyze, evaluate and communicate obtained results based on theoretical and experimental knowledge,
- participate in ongoing research projects in biology.
Content
Based on the results obtained, carry out further parts of the own scientific project, which may include theoretical, field-based or experimental methods of data collection. In-depth analyzes of materials and planning of final steps in the project. The student also participates in other ongoing research projects in biology.

Biology MA, Scientific Project I, 15 credits.
Selection rules and procedures
The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
Teaching form
Tutoring of theoretical, experimental or field-based research work according to a work plan established in collaboration with the supervisor. A detailed log book of the ongoing activities is kept by the student.
Examination form
P100: Scientific Project, 12.5 Credits
Grade scale: Seven-grade scale, A-F o Fx
Examined with written assignments and oral presentation.
Based on the results obtained, implement additional parts of your own
project, which may include theoretical, field-based or experimental methods of data collection. Data collection is documented in a log book.
P200: Participation in Other Research Projects, 2.5 Credits
Grade scale: Two-grade scale
The student participates in other ongoing research projects in biology, and participates in discussions about the projects.
