Aim

The purpose is for the student to gain in-depth knowledge and experience from the fields of nature-based solutions and ecological engineering within sustainable food systems and ecological forestry.

The course also aims for the student to gain insight into scientific methodology within ecological engineering.

Course objectives

Upon completion of the course the student should be able to:

  • design and assess sustainable food systems based on principles of ecological engineering.
  • describe ecological forestry based on ecological engineering principles.

Content

Design of sustainable food system, organic farming and agroforestry, in sustainable food systems, and eco-forestry

Entry requirements

Environmental Engineering of at least 15 credits (15 ECTS) at Bachelor's level.

The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
