Environmental measurements in Osnabrück with LoRa
Measuring environmental data in an energy-efficient way and transmitting it reliably to the internet is often crucial for the success of an IoT (Internet of Things) project.
Whats the project about
Measuring environmental data in an energy-efficient way and transmitting it reliably to the internet is often crucial for the success of an IoT (Internet of Things) project. LoRa offers an excellent solution for this purpose. The city of Osnabrück has a need for real-time environmental data. This project aims to support a better understanding of environmental processes by gathering valuable information and making it accessible through online platforms. The project will make practical use of several commercial, ready-made LoRa hardware platforms equipped with a defined set of sensors for environmental monitoring. These sensors will measure temperature, humidity, air pressure, and illuminance. The project is also open to including additional environmental parameters.
