Huma Fatima left New Delhi's big city life for Norrland's calmer rhythm and since last autumn she has been working at NDH in the Circular Biomass 3.0 project. She describes her first time at Mid Sweden University as both heartfelt and inspiring.

"It's been a few months since I started, and my experiences so far have been very positive. The environment here is very welcoming, cooperative and supportive. I really appreciate the friendly colleagues, the excellent research environments and the beautiful natural environments around the university. It's a great place to learn and grow professionally.

With a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), she is now taking on new challenges within the Circular Biomass 3.0 project, where sustainability is at the center.

"The project focuses on promoting a clean environment and sustainable local production of food and energy in Norrland. Within this framework, my research focuses on the production of high-protein animal feeds, which involves the analysis of protein and amino acids in protein-rich biomass from industrial waste streams. The goal is to develop innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions for the circular use of bioresources.

Work may be important, but she is careful to create a balance between work and leisure.
"Outside of work, I enjoy swimming and spending quality time with family and friends.
