Seminar 3. Hospital at Home Care in Practice: insights from Sweden
Learn from real-world pilot experiences where continuous nursing, remote monitoring, video consultations, and point-of-care testing seamlessly transition inpatient care into the home-enhancing patient autonomy and staff
professional roles, quality of care and reducing hospital related infections. Despite all the benefits there are ethical challenges to consider.
Speakers: Dr. Maya Kylén, Dr. Dara Rasoal, Dr Susanna Nordin
Dr. Maya Kylén is an associate professor in health science. Her research in environmental gerontology examines how the physical environment impacts ageing in place and well-being.
Dr. Dara Rasoal is a senior researcher at the School of Health and Welfare, Dalarna University. His primary research interests include clinical ethics within the healthcare sector and medical decision-making processes.
Dr. Susanna Nordin is the project leader for Sweden. She is a registered nurse and senior lecturer at Dalarna University. She holds a PhD in medical science from Karolinska Institutet.
