Background
Electronic Engineer with a strong background in Photonics and Opto-Electronics.
Area of interest
The area of interest are the development of laser sources, study of non linear effects on rare earth doped fibres and laser processing of functional materials.
Research
The current activities include research and development of compact (pulsed and continuous wave) single-frequency fiber lasers and amplifiers for applications such as Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) and Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and application of the laser technology as a successful method for processing and manufacturing of large area electronics on flexible substrates (paper and plastics).
