Eva-Lotta is a researcher in agricultural history at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala, and a visiting researcher at Mid Sweden University in Östersund. Her research focuses on historical land-use and she is particularly interested in how Sami and other Indigenous reindeer herding peoples interacted and made decisions at the local level around the use of common resources, such as fishing waters, hunting grounds and grazing lands. Her research is mainly focused on the early modern period (c. 1550 - 1800).
From January 2025, Eva-Lotta will participate in the five-year research project TransRein at SLU, which is funded by the European Research Council (ERC).
