Your employment at Mid Sweden University includes insurance that can cover long-term sickness, injuries at the workplace, or your close relatives in case of death.
If you become ill for an extended time
Government employees that receive sick pay or activity compensation from Försäkringskassan may be entitled to receive extra compensation from SPV. This compensation is called a disability pension

If you are injured at work
If you should happen to be injured at work, you can receive compensation from AFA Försäkring.

Protection for your family in the event of your death
As a government employees, your family receives good protection in the event of your death in the form of a survivor's pension and occupational group life insurance. You may also have a repayment cover for parts of your occupational pension that means your family will receive the funds in case you should die.
