Third deputy speaker of the Swedish Parliament visits Campus Östersund

During the one-hour visit, the Deputy Speaker first received a brief oral presentation on Mid Sweden University by Vice-Chancellor Anders Fällström, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Anna Olofsson and Project Manager Emanuel Magnusson.

There, she learned, among other things, more about the university's new EUI alliance, about the cultural investment in engineering and professional education, and the work with research and education based on its role as the only university in the Southern Sami area. She also got an insight into the ongoing project around student social activities.

Three labs at the Sports Tech Research Centre were then visited at a rapid pace, and both the material testing lab and the additive manufacturing lab attracted great interest. The visit concluded with the Deputy Speaker getting to feel the power of the wind tunnel and learn more about how it is used in the university's research.
