Open house was a hit on both campuses
All the sausages ran out, all the fika was eaten – and the stream of curious visitors made the anniversary Open House a real success!
In Östersund, the sun was shining with the many families with children who filled the campus area for two hours. The Student Union grilled sausages and sold ice cream, while the activities in building G attracted both young and old – with Spilloteket and Geek Girl on site, among others.
At the library, you could go foot orienteering, and up at Sportstech, the wind tunnel and the materials lab became real crowd favorites. The result: 300 sausages, 180 ice creams, almost 160 visitors in the wind tunnel and over 190 in the library!
Technology and innovation in focus
In Sundsvall, too, the day offered sun, technology and innovations in abundance. Here, the research and technology of the future were shown up close. In the laser lab, visitors were given pens with their names engraved, and at Makerspace and Technichus, everything from light sticks to 3D printers and exciting innovations were tested. Just over 300 people made it to campus – so many that the fika that was estimated for 250 people completely ran out.
