Plagiarism check measures
The Ouriginal service, which is used for plagiarism checking of submitted student projects, will be closed on 1 November 2025. It is therefore important that teachers and examiners download the reports that may be relevant to save for future student cases.
After 1 November , it will no longer be possible to access reports or previous analyses in Ouriginal.
We recommend that you review which reports you want to save locally. Think in particular of work that may be relevant in the event of, for example, suspicion of cheating or the need for follow-up afterwards.
A new plagiarism checker service, Inspera Originality (IO), will soon be available via Canvas. IO will replace Ouriginal as the university's text comparison and plagiarism control system.
Even though IO offers the option to redo an analysis on previously submitted documents, you are still recommended to save existing Ouriginal reports to have access to the original information.
More information about the transition to Inspera Originality will be published on the staff web as soon as the service is available.
