Government extends Vice‑Chancellor's appointment

On Thursday, the Swedish government made the formal decision to extend Vice-Chancellor Anders Fällström's appointment for another three years from 1 April 2026.
After a consultation process, a unanimous board at Mid Sweden University chose earlier this autumn to propose a second reappointment of Anders Fällström to the government. On Thursday, the Swedish government made the formal decision on the reappointment and went along with the board's line.
In connection with the Board decision on 2 October, Chairman of the Board Helene Hellmark Knutsson commented on the choice to give Anders Fällström a second reappointment.
