New and improved process for creating MiunID is launched
On May 19, INFRA will launch the new, simplified process for creating MiunID, which is an important step towards a smoother and clearer start for new students at Mid Sweden University. The implementation began this morning and will continue during the day.
The new process for creating MiunID has been developed with the user in focus and brings several improvements:
- Fewer steps to go through, making registration faster.
- Clearer and simpler language according to the principles of plain language.
- Automatic guidance, such as a warning text if the student chooses not to approve the library agreement, with information that this affects the ability to borrow books and journals.
- The ability to update contact information, such as email address and mobile number, directly in Ladok before the account is ready, is especially important for students who have studied at Mid Sweden University before.
- Support for more secure passwords, in accordance with Microsoft's security requirements, such as for using Teams.
- Feature to resume canceled registration, which minimizes the risk of the student accidentally creating duplicate accounts.
- Clear on-screen and via email confirmation will be sent to the updated email address after the account has been created.
The new process has also been tested by the university's student ambassadors, whose valuable feedback has helped to refine the details.
–In conclusion, I would like to highlight the good cooperation we have had within the administration. KOM, IT-Helpdesk, the IT developers and the Service Center have worked together and developed texts, layout and the steps in the MiunID process, says Sofia de Wall, communications officer with a focus on students.
