Evangelia Petridou gets new international assignment
Associate Professor Evangelia Petridou has been elected in the executive committee of the International Public Policy Organization (IPPA). This is the first time that Mid Sweden University is represented in the world's leading research organization for public policy research.
The International Public Policy Association brings together researchers from all over the world and the organization's activities include an academic journal, the International Review of Public Policy (IRPP), conferences, workshops, and both summer and winter schools for doctoral students and early career researchers to promote policy research.
"It is of course an honor to become a member of IPPA's governing body, and it will also be a way for me to give back to the research community and put Mid Sweden University on the map of universities that conduct high-quality research in public policy", says Evangelia Petridou, associate professor of political science at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Evangelia Petridou has been associate editor of IPPA's academic journal for several years and her new assignment on the executive committee will span a four-year period starting on June 30, 2025.
