Have your say on media service ‑ video and audio
Your opinion can determine what we choose! We are particularly keen to take part of your needs from a pedagogical and didactic perspective, as this is the most important basis for our evaluation.
There are currently two media services at Mid Sweden University: MiunPlay (Kaltura) and Canvas Studio, both of which are currently integrated into Canvas. The implementation project for Canvas (Sunet LMS) is tasked with evaluating the two alternative media services. When we sent out a survey to all teachers in the autumn of 2025, few took the chance to make an impact.
We need a larger basis to be able to recommend which of the two media services we should continue with, so we are conducting an online Forum meeting on February 24 at 13 – 16 or as long as you can. See you via Zoom.

- What needs do you have for media in your teaching? (Introduction & dialogue, about 30 min)
- Try optional elements in both services, such as making a webcam or screen recording, subtitling your video, sharing a video with your colleague or a group of colleagues, embedding your video in Canvas, etc.
- Walkthrough: We'll walk you through the functionality of both media services.
