"CoARA is basically about how we value quality in research," says Bege Jonsson, project manager for Mid Sweden University's work within CoARA. It is not something that changes overnight, but a long-term work where we need to talk about assessment, qualifications and which contributions are actually important in different contexts.

On 6 and 11 February, two international seminars linked to CoARA will be arranged that Mid Sweden University's employees have the opportunity to participate in. One on the theme "Swedish research funders & CoARA principles" and the other on the theme "AI in Research Assessment".

"The seminars are aimed at researchers, managers and others who are involved in various ways in the assessment of research or researchers," says Bege. They are suitable for both those who are curious about CoARA and those who already work closely with issues of qualifications, recruitment or quality systems. The development of CoARA is exciting as it can open doors for our research by making it possible for researchers to prioritise more than just the publication of scientific studies.
