Do you need support in formulating instructions for students regarding generative AI?
Mid Sweden University’s guide on students’ use of generative AI can help.
The guide provides concrete advice and examples on how to design instructions for when and how students may — or may not — use generative AI in your course, examination, or assignment. You can find the guide in Swedish on the information pages on generative AI for teaching staff. An English version will be available shortly.
The guide has been developed by the Group for Educational Development in close collaboration with teacher representatives from both faculties, student unions at both campuses, a legal advisor, and the Division of Infrastructure.
Following an internal consultation process, the document was revised by Jimmy Jaldemark, Professor of Education at the Department of Educational Sciences, and Jessica Liivlaid, Educational Developer at the Division of Research and Educational Support, based on assignments and feedback from the Education Council and the Educational Coordination Body. The guide was adopted by the University Management Council in 2025 and is subsequently updated only Educational Development at FUS (The Division for Research and Educational support).
