MFA will be enabled for external login to NSP

Mon 02 Mar 2026 08:00

Starting March 4, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be enabled for external login to the NSP service management system. This change applies to all employees and is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our cybersecurity.

What does this change mean?

NSP includes both the Case Management Portal and the Service Portal. If you log in to NSP without being connected via the Campus Network, Eduroam, or VPN, you will need to verify your identity using MFA starting March 4.

If you log in from the Campus Network, via Eduroam, or through VPN, the login process remains unchanged and will not require MFA.

Why is MFA being enabled?

Systems that are accessible outside the organization’s internal network are more exposed to unauthorized login attempts. By enabling MFA for external login, we reduce the risk of account compromise and strengthen the protection of both the information in NSP and the organization’s IT environment as a whole.
