Anna‑Lena Perdahl appointed Deputy University Director
Mid Sweden University is strengthening the management capacity of its support services by appointing University Strategist Anna-Lena Perdahl as Deputy University Director.
The appointment is part of the work to create a more cohesive, efficient and business-oriented support for the University's core activities.
The background is that the University is in an intensive development phase, which places increased demands on strategic coordination and implementation power. Extensive work has been initiated to develop and restructure the support services. The goal is to become more accurate in supporting the core business, prioritise the right initiatives and ensure a long-term sustainable organisation.
As Deputy University Director, Anna-Lena will contribute to the development of the administration and to coordination and progress on prioritised development issues. Anna-Lena will continue with her current assignments as a university strategist and be part of Mid Sweden University's management also in her new role.
"The position of Deputy University Director/Head of Administration has existed before, but has not been filled for a couple of years. I have wanted to wait to feel the needs. Now we are in a period of great challenges, and it is therefore important that we are equipped for it in the support activities. Anna-Lena will be an important support in our continued development work," says University Director Louise Beskow.
Anna-Lena Perdahl is looking forward to her new assignment:
"It feels both fun and very meaningful to take on this assignment. I look forward to continuing to develop the work that is already underway together with Louise and colleagues – and contribute to coordination, clarity and progress in our joint work.
The assignment covers 30 percent of full-time and is valid from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2029.
