This year's programme focuses particularly on the areas of welfare, such as school, learning and social sustainability. Among other things, a project from Örnsköldsvik is presented where parents of children with school absence are offered support through education – with the aim of developing methods that strengthen children's ability to return to school. Participants will also learn about how handicraft teaching in Härnösand contributes to increased understanding of sustainability through reuse and circular material flows.

During the morning, more examples will also be highlighted of how collaboration between Mid Sweden University and municipalities in Västernorrland and Gävleborg counties contributes to meeting current societal challenges. By combining research and practice, new solutions are created in everything from skills supply to crisis preparedness.

Mittlyftet is part of Mid Sweden University's municipal collaboration. Through collaboration agreements with several municipalities, researchers and municipal partners can jointly apply for funding for feasibility studies and projects that drive regional development and innovation.

The conference will be held digitally via Teams from 9:00 to 11:15 and is free of charge and open to the public.
