Distance programme on international exchange via Nordplus and NORDTEK
A group of students and teachers recently travelled to Vaasa, Finland, to participate in EnergyWeek; an international meeting point for the industry. The students received Nordplus and NORDTEK scholarships for their participation.
In March, seven students from the Energy Engineering program traveled together with a group of teachers to Vaasa, Finland. This was made possible thanks to the program's collaboration with Vaasa University of Applied Science (VAMK). While there, the group participated in EnergyWeek in Vaasa, a large international meeting place that annually attracts thousands of people from the industry (over 11,000 people participated in 2026) from many different countries. The event focuses on topics such as sustainable energy, smart energy, and energy storage. Further, the Vaasa region is the Nordic region's largest "energy technology hub" (EnergyVaasa), which makes this fair an important meeting place for the entire industry. The students described the trip as very rewarding, as they had a lot of social exchange, while at the same time gaining international experience and the opportunity to make contacts in their field.
The students were able to apply for a scholarship for Express mobility for short exchanges within the Nordic region. This is possibile within the exchange programmes Nordplus and NORDTEK. Please contact the International Relations Office for more information about short exchanges within the Nordic countries!
