How do we meet complex healthcare needs, strengthen social inclusion, ensure a resilient food supply and develop the social contracts of the future?

SustainGov logga

When societal challenges are complex, it is not enough to work separately. Actors need to meet across organisational boundaries and tackle challenges together.

In this reality, SustainGov, a ten-year impact innovation program funded by Vinnova, Formas and the Swedish Energy Agency and coordinated by Mid Sweden University, operates. The programme strengthens the public sector's capacity for change and innovation with the aim of promoting the health and well-being of all citizens, regardless of where they live or who they are. develop new ways of working and create actual societal impact through work across organisational boundaries.

SustainGov is now inviting researchers at Mid Sweden University and officials from municipalities and regions to a digital information meeting about the programme's current calls. The focus is on

  • preparation and implementation projects (deadline 17 June);
  • Change alliances (deadline 1 September)

During the meeting, an adapted presentation of the calls will be given with a special focus on regional and local conditions. As an example, Christer Hedlund from Quality Technology at Mid Sweden University shares experiences from a preparation project that aims to develop more sustainable and cost-effective material flows in healthcare.

There will be plenty of time for questions and dialogue. A lot of written and recorded information about SustainGov and the calls is already available on the programme's website, sustaingov.se.
