The Electoral College has now appointed new teacher members to Mid Sweden University's board. The term of office is valid from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2028.
At the election meeting of the Electoral College on 29 April, the members decided to appoint the following three teacher representatives to the University Board:
Sebastian Bader, Senior Lecturer, Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering
Lisbeth Kristiansen, Professor, Department of Health Sciences
Mikael Lundholm, Senior Lecturer, Department of Business Administration, Geography, Law and Tourism
We warmly welcome these three teacher members to the work of the board. At the same time, we would like to extend a big thank you to the outgoing teacher members Katja Gillander Gådin, Lars-Erik Rännar and Eva Morlind for a good and well-executed work.
About the University Board
The University Board is Mid Sweden University's highest decision-making body. The Board consists of the Vice-Chancellor, eight external members appointed by the Government, three teachers' meetings, three student members and two union representatives. The external members for the current term of office were decided by the Government in autumn 2024.
The election process has been criticized for the time frames being too tight. The process will therefore be reviewed to create better conditions for future election of teacher members to the board.
