SVESAM is a government inquiry that looks at how Sweden can develop more cohesively, with a particular focus on rural areas, regional development and accessibility. The report, in which Linda Kvarnlöf and Sophie Kolmodin have contributed with an input, focuses on rural preparedness and contains several recommendations for how it can be strengthened. It was presented to the Ministry of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure in Stockholm on 29 April.

The work has been carried out within the framework of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences' (SLU) initiative Mission Rural Areas, where researchers contribute thematic data to SVESAM.
