Equal Opportunity Price
To encourage Mid Sweden University's equal opportunities work, we award an equal opportunities prize every year to highlight good examples of work with equality, diversity and inclusion within the organisation
Equal Opportunities Award 2026
To draw attention to Mid Sweden University's work with equal opportunities*, employees are invited to nominate candidate(s) for Mid Sweden University's equal opportunities award for 2026. Equal opportunities is as much about promoting equal opportunities as it is about counteracting discrimination, and there is a lot of such work in different parts of the university's activities. The purpose of the Equal Opportunities Award is to highlight good examples to stimulate efforts that contribute to the development of our business. The award is given to person(s) who have carried out initiatives that have positively promoted equal opportunities work within Mid Sweden University.
The nominations can concern individuals (staff or students), a working group, a subject, a programme or a division/department that in some way has made significant contributions to students, employees or to the University's activities. You can also nominate yourself. The prize money is SEK 10,000**.
Proposals with justification must be submitted in writing to the coordinator for gender equality and equal opportunities (lasse.reinikainen@miun.se), no later than 30/8. The jury is the Council for Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities. The prize will be awarded at the Equal Opportunities Day 28/9 in Ă–stersund.
* Equal opportunities refers to work based on the Discrimination Act in terms of gender, gender identity or gender expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation and age.
** The prize money is to be used for the promotion of equal opportunities issues and is used for this purpose by the unit in which the prize winner(s) operate.
