Mid Sweden University has research collaboration agreements with several municipalities in Västernorrland, which gives researchers the opportunity to apply for funding for research projects in collaboration with one or more municipalities. From the autumn semester of 2026, a new application process will be introduced for collaboration projects with the municipalities in Västernorrland. An important change is that in the future, applications will be processed within a special call period, which means that the number of decisions will be reduced from four to two calls per year.

For the municipalities in Jämtland Härjedalen, the current process with one call per year will continue to apply.

To inform about the new process, the Grants and Innovation Office (GIO) invites you to a digital information meeting on 31 August at 10-11 am, where you will find out more about the application procedure. Welcome to participate and take part in information about the new conditions for applying for research funding within the framework of the research collaboration agreements.
