Internationalisation at Home, Higher Education Pedagogy Seminar on September 18, 2026
Welcome to a higher education pedagogy seminar on September 18 from 10:00 - 12:00 focusing on internationalization at home.
Participants are:
- Ingrid Svensson, Head of Unit, International Office, Umeå University
- Jessica Bergström Grahn, Communicator, International Office, Umeå University
During the seminar, we will explore together what internationalisation at home means in practice and what significance it can have for education and teaching. The seminar is aimed for all employees.
We will touch on questions such as:
- What is the purpose of internationalization at home?
- What opportunities and challenges exist?
- What does an international subject perspective mean?
- What is meant by intercultural competence?
The seminar will be conducted in a workshop format and provides space for sharing experiences and joint reflection.
The seminar takes place in person in Sundsvall, room N102, and synchronously via Zoom in Östersund, room O213. Ingrid Svensson and Jessica Bergström Grahn will be present in Sundsvall, and a moderator will be on-site in Östersund.
