Mon 17 Aug 2026 08:21

From 1 September 2026, Primula will only work if you are connected to Mid Sweden University's network or using a VPN. If you try to log in from a private or open network without a VPN, the login will be blocked.

As part of increased security requirements linked to security protection and cyber security, the Government Service Center (SSC) has announced that the requirements for logging in to the Primula payroll service will change.

From 1 September, the following applies:
- Login to Primula is only possible from approved IP addresses (whitelisted)
- Attempts to log in from other networks are automatically  blocked

What does this mean for you as a user?
You can log in to Primula if you use:
- Eduroam on campus
- Campus network via network cable
- Mid Sweden University's VPN for remote work

Signing in will automatically block you:
- From home without Mid Sweden University's VPN
- From open networks without Mid Sweden University's VPN

Do I need to do anything?
- If you work from your office on campus, you don't have to do anything different.
- If you work from home or from another location, you need to make sure that you can connect to Mid Sweden University's VPN before logging in to Primula.

If you have questions about VPN and connection, you are welcome to contact IT support.
