Updated guidelines for the use of Microsoft 365
The guidelines for using Microsoft 365 have been updated, including clearer guidance on information security, storage, and retention as the range of M365 services has evolved.
The guidelines for how employees at Mid Sweden University use Microsoft 365 have been updated.
One change is that the document is now called "guidelines" instead of "rules," in line with the university's guidance on templates and governing documents.
The background to the revision is that the range of services in M365 has grown, including through the introduction of the AI tool Copilot. This has created a need for clearer guidance on information management, information security, storage, and retention.
The new guidelines have been reviewed by the university's data protection officer and archivist, and replace the previous version (reference number MIUN 2020/740).
Please take a moment to read through the guidelines. As an employee, you are responsible for using M365 in accordance with them.
