Work on the support activities of the future continues
The work of developing the support services of the future is now continuing.
According to the assignment, a joint support service will be established under the leadership of the University Director. As part of the new organisation, three departments will be formed for educational support, research support and management support.
New working group to design the new departments
A new working group has been established to support the work of designing the new departments. The group includes Sara Grut, Head of Secretariat at the HUV Faculty, Pelle Håkansson, Head of Division at FUS, and Karin Olsson, Head of Division at ULS. The working group will develop proposals for internal organisation and working methods that provide more coherent, standardised, efficient and appropriate support for the University's core activities. A particular focus is to develop a more process-oriented way of working. The work will take place in dialogue with the relevant managers, employees and other relevant functions. Employees and managers will be involved in different ways during the work.
Risk assessment and further work
The first risk assessment was carried out on 18 June and the work on the risk analysis continues. The next meeting will be held on 8 September with, among others, the University Director, the Deans, the HR Manager, union representatives and the safety organisation.
On 24 September, the University Board will consider a proposal for a joint support service with an administrative level, as well as a proposal for a board for the support services.
