Call for Research Grants

Deadline for application is May 3. Application should be sent to anna.haeggstrom@miun.se with the marking MIUN 2024/628.

The conditions for application are:

1.   Applied funds must be used for research in Östersund and conducted within one of the centres National Winter Sports Centre or Sports Tech Research Centre.

2.   The research should be for the benefit of the region.

3.   A written report and an oral presentation to the Foundation shall take place in conjunction with the Foundation’s Board meeting at the time agreed between the Foundation and the Centre Leader.

Content of the application:

·     A clear description of the purpose of the research in which the project’s innovative thinking, utilization, connection with past and future research, and how they relate to the research strategy of the environment in question.

·     A description of how the project benefits the development for the region and Mid Sweden University.

·     The period of time the application relates to. The project may have a multi-annual set-up, but follow-up takes place annually as well as decisions on continued funding.

·     Projects may apply for part-funding from the Foundation as part of a larger project with funding from other financiers.

·     Budget

·     Place and centre where the research will be conducted.
