MS Copilot

You can use Copilot to, for example, search for information, analyze data, create images, or enhance text. Copilot uses Chat GPT-4 and has access to the internet.

If you are employed at Mid Sweden University, you can use Microsoft's Copilot in the Edge browser. This means that you can log in with your work account and in the browser get access to a search engine, AI chatbot and an AI-powered assistant that allows you to interact with the web in completely new ways.

At present, Copilot is not available to Mid Sweden University's employees in other Microsoft programs than the Edge browser.

To use Copilot  , you'll need to use the Microsoft Edge browser. Once you've opened the browser, you'll find the Copilot icon in the right corner or type "Copilot" in the search bar and you'll be taken directly there. You do not need to create an account but are automatically logged in with your MIUN account.

Your conversations aren't saved in Copilot, so you'll need to copy everything you want to keep. 

Use the AI service sensibly when writing prompts to Copilot, but don't use information in the service if:

• Direct personal data of others that clearly identifies an individual
• Confidential or sensitive personal data
• Nor do you add material that you do not have the right to freely dispose of
• Also keep in mind that other material worthy of protection is also inappropriate to add to the service.
