How to use our sensitivity labels
We protect information with four sensitivity labels: Open, Limited Sharing, Confidential, and Strictly Confidential. Choose your label based on the sensitivity of the information and who should have access.
How to use our sensitivity labels
Sensitivity labels are easy to use. You can find them right in your standard Microsoft 365 applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Choosing the right label when creating or editing a document is easy:
- Open a document or email
- The "Limited Sharing" label is automatically applied as the default label to your documents. For emails, "Open" applies by default
- If you want to change the label, click on "Sensitivity" in the menu
- Select the appropriate label from the list
- The selected label is automatically applied to your
Documents or emails
Remember to change the label to "Open" before sending material to the printer, otherwise the label will be included and visible on the printed material.
In InfoCaption there is a video that shows step by step how the sensitivity labels are used.
