Trust level for logging in to Ladok ‑ AL2
All Ladok users at Mid Sweden University must have a higher trust level on their staff account to be able to log in to Ladok. To get the correct trust level, you need to authenticate yourself with BankID or visit IT support to authenticate yourself with, for example, a driver's license.

If you prefer to verify your identity in person with IT support, you can visit them at the Service Center. They are always available there Monday–Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM. At other times, you can also visit them in person at the F-building in Sundsvall or the G-building in Östersund.
What does this mean for you?
If you do not raise your trust level, you will not be able to log in to Ladok after June 1, 2023, without first verifying your identity. If you cannot log in to Ladok, you as a teacher or examiner will, for example, not be able to report or certify results.
Why is this necessary?
Mid Sweden University is part of the SWAMID federation and therefore needs to follow their rules for account management. One of these rules concerns trust levels for accounts. The trust level indicates how confident we are in the identity of the person holding a university account.
Ladok is the first system at Mid Sweden University to require a higher trust level for login, but more systems will require higher trust levels in the future.
Ladok contains a large amount of personal data and is used for official administrative purposes. Therefore, it is important that only authorized personnel have access to the system and that the information is accurate. To ensure this, strict identification requirements are necessary when logging in to Ladok.
You can check your account’s trust level here: https://ladok3.its.umu.se/kontrollera-al2/ . To log in to Ladok after June 1, the required level is SWAMID AL-2.
