Questions and answers about integrations in Canvas

Right now, the integrations to MiunPlay/Kaltura, Zoom, Inspera Origninality (IO) in Canvas are suspended due to the data breach in Canvas. Learn more about how to use these services independently.

You can use Zoom as you normally would, including to record, but meetings need to be created from the app or Zoom on the web. Read more about how to book Zoom meetings online

Then share Zoom links in Canvas in calendar events and/or as announcements.

Studio

Studio works as usual in Canvas. There you can also record new video. You can also embed videos on pages in Canvas, directly in the editor.

MiunPlay/Kaltura

MiunPlay/Kaltura works independently (accessed via play.miun.se) but not via the editor in Canvas. Via play.miun.se you can see any recordings from Zoom, make new recordings, etc.

If you want to share videos with the students, you publish your video as Unlisted and share a link to it in Canvas. Guide on how to make your video unlisted. (You must choose to make the video Unlisted, or students won't see it.)

Inspera Originality (IO) can be used standalone, so you can still check submissions with IO.

Inspera Originality web interface

You can submit assignments in two different ways via the web interface:

  • Submit for a student
  • Ask student to submit

Submit for a student

As a teacher, you can submit student submissions to check them. Log in according to the instructions above.

  • Upload the document, by clicking + at the top of the left menu,
  • Click Upload and drop the file on the upload surface
  • Click Submit (if you want, you can adjust submissions).

NOTE 1! It will look like it's your submission!
NOTE 2! When you hand it in for someone else, it does not end up in the archive
