Half‑time seminar in chemical engineering with Anka Klecina
Welcome to participate in the half-time seminar for PhD student Anka Klecina in Chemical Engineering. The seminar will take place at 09:00 on March 13 in room O111 on Mid Sweden University's campus in Sundsvall.
The project deals with chemical characterization and impregnation of Nordic wood chips under industrial conditions. The research focuses on near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy for determination of lignin and moisture content, in combination with studies of steaming and impregnation as transport-controlled processes in sulphate pulp production. The goal is to develop analytical and process-oriented methods that improve the control of chip preparation, reduce heterogeneity and contribute to more even pulp quality and yield.
External reviewer: Professor Antti Haapala, University of Eastern Finland
Supervisors: Professor Stefan Lindström and Professor Juha Fiskari
It is also possible to follow the seminar digitally.
