Jobs and traineeships in the EU – a variety of career paths

International career paths within the EU institutions were in focus when Asia Rianzantceva from the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR) gave the students an insight into everything from internship opportunities during studies to trainees and job opportunities after graduation.

– Working in the EU provides opportunities to contribute knowledge about one's own country, learn from each other, influence, and not least it is important for democracy, said Asia Rianzantceva, UHR. No matter what profession and degree, there are jobs.

Asia Rianzantceva showed a variety of career paths that exist for students – everything from economists, lawyers and communicators to engineers, interpreters, IT specialists, community planners and administrators with different areas of expertise needed. You can work in climate policy, the rule of law, statistics, migration, digitalisation, culture or administration, etc. The EU offers permanent and temporary posts, traineeships and assignments for seconded experts – with placements in Brussels, Luxembourg, Strasbourg and around the world.
