October is Cybersecurity Month
In October, the so-called Cyber Security Month will be arranged in Sweden and Europe, where many Swedish authorities participate through various initiatives to strengthen our common cyber security in society.
We can all help each other to safeguard cyber security at Mid Sweden University, for example by increasing our awareness and knowledge of cyber security in everyday life, both at the university and in other situations.
Some tips on how you can help strengthen cybersecurity:
Use secure storage areas in your study situation at the university.
- A safe place to save your files is Mid Sweden University's storage area.
- Another place to store is your personal OneDrive
Report suspected IT incidents to IT Support at itsupport@miun.se
If, for example, you suspect a so-called phishing email or that you have been the victim of a fraud via your student email address, report it to IT Support. Read more on the page: Incident management at Mid Sweden University
