Mid Sweden University will use Canvas as its learning platform starting in autumn 2025.
Courses in Canvas
During summer 2025 and from the autumn semester (HT2025) onward, the following applies:
- You can access Canvas via a shortcut on miun.se under “My Studies” or directly at canvas.miun.se.
- You log in to Canvas on the web using your MiunID/username and the same password you use for your regular Miun account.
- Canvas has a great mobile app that you can download from the App Store or Google Play. You log in to the app by scanning the QR code found under your account in the left-hand menu in Canvas.
- You will be able to see your course in Canvas within a few minutes after registering for the course, provided your teacher has published the course. If it doesn’t appear on your Canvas Dashboard right away, it will show up once the teacher publishes the course room.
Current news
To access the course room in Canvas, you need to have activated your Miun-ID and be registered for the course. It may take a few minutes after registration before you can log in.

Moodle
Some individual courses will be completed in Moodle during the autumn semester of 2025. If you are unsure which learning platform applies, ask your teacher.
