Sex Life Online: A Quantitative Study Among 16‑Year‑Old Upper Secondary School Students
This study examines sexual activities conducted via computer among 16-year-olds, including gender differences, background factors, and links to physical sexual debut.
The study is quantitative and is based on survey data collected in 2024 among first-year upper secondary school students. Overall, it aims to increase knowledge about young people’s sexuality in a digitalised world. This sub-study focuses on how sexual life unfolds in front of the computer – for example, sexual activities online, the purchase of sexual services via computer, differences between genders and other background factors, as well as the link to physical sexual debut. The aim and specific research questions will be formulated in collaboration with the supervisor.
