In the European elections, the Members of the European Parliament, who represent EU citizens, are elected. Together with representatives of EU governments, MEPs draft and decide on new laws that affect all citizens living and working in the European Union. For example, the European Parliament scrutinises how the money is spent and approves the EU budget. European elections are held every five years.

Östersund municipality is looking for voters who want to work during the period for early voting from May 22 to June 9 or on election day June 9. Compensation as a polling worker is SEK 201 per hour. Compensation is also given at the training session.
