Accommodation Sundsvall
In Sundsvall, Mid Sweden University recommends two different housing companies and areas of student accommodation to international students. You need to be admitted to fulltime studies of 30 credits per semester to qualify.
Mitthem
Mitthem is the municipal housing company in Sundsvall with a good selection of different accommodation options. Nacksta is a popular home among international students, as the area offers a variety of accommodation options. Many students take the opportunity to share a 2-4 bedroom apartment (Swedish and International students). This means that students will have their own private room, but share kitchen and common areas together with a number of other students. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk to campus.
Accommodation is usually unfurnished in Sweden, however Mitthem provides some furnished rooms for international students. Alternatively students can buy furniture at local secondhand stores or the large shopping area Birsta.

Arrival and keys
Please arrange key collection directly with Mitthem if you arrive outside of the universitys Arrival period.
If your accommodation for some reason is not available on the day of your arrival, we advise you to book a hostel/hotell. In Sundsvall we recommend Sundsvall City Hostel.
