Scholastic Aptitude Test

The Scholastic Aptitude Test is a selection test intended to measure the ability to cope with higher education. The Scholastic Aptitude Test does not give you eligibility for higher education, but gives you an additional competitive advantage when admitting to a study place.
If you have taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test, you are automatically placed in an additional selection group when you apply for a programme where selection is based on the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test and for which you are eligible. The exam is held twice a year, once in the autumn and once in the spring, at 21 colleges and universities in Sweden. The result is valid for eight years. You can take the Scholastic Aptitude Test as many times as you like and then compete with your best result.

Mid Sweden University arranges the Scholastic Aptitude Test at the following locations:
- Härnösand
- Sollefteå
- Sundsvall
- Ånge
- Sveg
- Strömsund
- Kramfors
- Örnsköldsvik
- Ostersund
You can also take the exam in other places in Sweden, the Scholastic Aptitude Test does not follow the population register.
Be sure to state which location you wish to sign in when you make the application. Please note, however, that it is only a request, you may be called to a different location than the one you have chosen due to lack of premises, for example.

How to sign up?
Registration is personal and the registration fee is 550 SEK. The fee cannot be refunded or moved to another examination session, regardless of the reason. How to try to change the place of the test, the structure of the test day and many other practical questions are stated on the studera.nu. It also shows what to do if you need to be adapted in various ways at the time of the test.
