Postdoc position in Electronics within Applied Sound Sensor Systems

Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering

At the department, education is conducted in the subjects of computer engineering, electronics, electrical engineering and sound production. The research at the department takes place at the research center Sensible Things that Communicate (www.miun.se/stc) and deals with sensor-based systems and services for use within the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.

Job description
We offer a postdoctoral position in Applied Sound Sensor Systems. The position focuses on measurement using and design of acoustic array systems, sound source localization, and sound classification. The position is connected to a research project on heart sound monitoring using array systems and AI. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with national and international partners.

The primary focus of the position is measurement using acoustic array systems for heart sound monitoring in auscultation applications. The position may also include implementation aspects of sound localization models, with or without AI components. The work will be both experimental and theoretical in nature and will include data acquisition, development and validation of models and systems, as well as generalization of solutions.
