Öhman, P. Continued government appointment as deputy member of the Supervisory Board of Public Accountants. Within the framework of the Swedish Inspectorate of Auditors, the Supervisory Board of Public Accountants is responsible for deciding on disciplinary measures, issuing advance rulings, and determining other matters of a principled nature concerning the exercise of public authority toward individuals. The extended appointment covers the period 1 July 2026–30 June 2029.
Öhman, P. Appointment as member of the Swedish National Audit Office Scientific Council for a fifth term. The Swedish National Audit Office (Riksrevisionen) is an independent authority under the Swedish Parliament, tasked with auditing government activities. The Scientific Council is an external advisory body whose role is to ensure the quality of the National Audit Office’s work. The Council consists of nine members who provide principled input on completed audits and propose audit topics they believe the National Audit Office should address. The Council also serves as a forum for discussing current issues relevant to the National Audit Office’s activities. The appointment runs from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027.
Öhman, P. Extended appointment as member of the National Audit Office Examination Council. The Examination Council was established as part of the quality assurance process for the annual audit certification examination program. As one of two external members, the role involves working alongside internal experts in government accounting and auditing to ensure that the examination process is both relevant and reliable. The other external member is Torbjörn Tagesson, Professor of Business Administration at Linköping University and Managing Director of the Swedish Council for Municipal Accounting (RKR). The appointment covers the period 1 January 2026–31 December 2028.

Öhman, P. Expert in a government inquiry on the management of EU funds (Fi 2021:10). Experts are appointed by the government, with appointments effective from 1 March 2022 until further notice, but no later than the completion of the inquiry. The inquiry’s task is to propose an organizational structure and allocation of responsibilities that enables more appropriate, efficient, and legally secure management of EU funds. The assignment also includes proposing necessary legislative amendments. The inquiry was to report its findings no later than 1 December 2023.
Öhman, P. Extended appointment as member of the National Audit Office Scientific Council. The Council provides advice on substantive matters, methods, and methodological development relating to issues raised in research and elsewhere. The issues discussed must be relevant to the National Audit Office’s activities. The appointment covered 1 January 2022–31 December 2023.

The lecture was titled “The Audit Society: Benefits and Drawbacks — On Auditing and Other Forms of Review, What They Contribute and What They Miss.” The recorded lecture was broadcast on Kunskapskanalen, a public educational television channel operated by SVT.

The appointment began on 1 January 2018 and continues thereafter.
