CER Symposium in Sundsvall with Researchers from Three Continents
Today, June 3, the "2024 CER FinTech Symposium" begins, featuring researchers from Europe, the USA, and Asia, as well as practitioners from some of the banks within the CER network.
The first keynote speaker, following the opening speech by Sundsvall's municipal commissioner Niklas Säwén, is Professor Arman Eshraghi from Cardiff University in the UK. After that, parallel sessions will cover topics such as digital currencies, technology-supported financial services, and financial literacy & inclusion. Additionally, there will be a lecture on financial entrepreneurship by Dr. Sofia Johan from Florida Atlantic University, USA. The symposium is also aimed at practitioners and will conclude with a lecture by Anders Stenkrona, a prominent personal finance expert at Nordea.
The symposium is organized by CER and the Economic Research Foundation in Sundsvall, in collaboration with EM Normandie Business School, France, and the Academy of Financial Services, USA. The symposium is associated with an upcoming special issue "Navigating Contemporary FinTech Solutions: Revealing Potential and Challenges" in the journal Financial Services Review, where CER researchers Peter Öhman and Mustafa Nourallah are guest editors along with Izidin El Kalak from Cardiff University.
