Senior delegation first to visit CER in new premises

In the last week of August, CER was visited by representatives from the Municipal Pensioners' Council in Sundsvall (KPR) as well as the Pensioners' National Organization (PRO) and SPF Seniorerna.

On the agenda was discussions about the future of safe and retirement homes in Sundsvall. A starting point for the conversation was the EU project "Sustainable Spatial Planning: From Central Norrland to Europe's Sparse Districts (HåSa)" and the sub-study on the sheltered housing "Skepparen" that ran between 2016-2019. This also included Mid Sweden University's, Mitthem's and Sundsvall's municipalities' follow-up projects on sustainable business models for housing for the elderly 2020-2021. During the conversation, an embryo of a collaborative project took shape and then with a focus on sustainable housing/construction for the elderly, strategic cooperation/co-location and what is required to increase the opportunities for elderly care for skills supply. The dialogue will continue at the end of September.
