CER researchers at world‑leading conference in economics
Mikael Lundholm, researcher in law at CER, recently participated in the exclusive "Econometric Society's World Congress 2025". Among the participants was Nobel Prize winner James Robinson.
The research conference, which this time was held in South Korea's capital Seoul, is a gathering place for world-leading researchers and research in economics (with the academic journal Econometrica as the flagship). This year, the conference, which is only held every five years, had just over 2,500 participants with around 3,000 submissions, of which about half were accepted to the conference. Together with his co-authors Matz Dahlberg, Mattias Nordin and Henk Schouten (all at Uppsala University), Mikael presented the study "On the discount in foreclosure sales: Theory and RCT evidence from Sweden". The researchers will now continue to work in order to be able to publish the work, which is being conducted in collaboration with the Enforcement Authority.
