New method could improve future batteries

In his doctoral research, PhD student Rohan Patil has identified a new method for producing silicon nanoparticles for silicon-graphite battery anodes. The findings, which could contribute to higher-capacity lithium-ion batteries, will be presented at his thesis defence on 12 June.

New collaborations for a sustainable industry

Researchers, industry and public-sector stakeholders from Sweden and Norway met in Trondheim on 27–28 May to strengthen collaboration on sustainable materials and the green industry of the future. From Mid Sweden University's FSCN Research Centre, around 15 researchers participated.
